King

Vanguard is into its first Season and we have now reached the halfway point, which means they've gone ahead and added some new content for players to dive into.

One of these forms of content is a brand new weapon called the Welgun, and its become a popular choice among players already.

Here's the best Loadout for the Welgun in Call of Duty Vanguard.

Best Welgun Class for Vanguard

The Welgun is one of the best SMGs when you get down to the nitty gritty of Vanguard, and there's some attachments that you'll unlock over the course of the game that will allow this weapon to be insanely powerful.

The Welgun is a powerful weapon but suffers from a slow rate of fire and it can be a bit inaccuarte from time to time.

With that in mind, you'll need to get up close to players to get the true benefits of this SMG.

Attachments

  • Muzzle
    • Recoil Booster
  • Barrell
    • 240MM Hockenson 43
  • Optic
    • Slate Reflector/No Attachment
  • Stock
    • Gawain Skeletal
  • Underbarrell
    • M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine
    • .45 48 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type
    • Lengthened
  • Rear Grip
    • Polymer Grip
  • Proficiency
    • Gung-Ho
  • Kit
    • Quick

This class is designed to give you the most nibble weapon in close quarter fights by increasing its ADS speed whenever possible.

The Muzzle provides a much faster rate of fire, which is the Welgun's major downfalls compared to other SMGs.

As for the Barrel, its one of the slots with the most to both gain and lose. Whatever

An Optic is down to preference, since you're up close, the ironsights do fine - so I tend to have the slightly larger sights for clear cut vision up close.

The selected Stock provides the most benefit, sacrificing small amounts of movement speed to dramatically increase accuracy.

Our Underbarrel is the best option with no drawbacks, adding a small buff to the ADS speed.

I personally think there are too many drawbacks to the Magazine options, so I'd either choose none or I would choose the 64 round mags for the faster reload speed on more chaotic maps.

Your Ammo Type will again be a personal preference and playstyle. I think both Subsonic, Hollow Point and Lengthened are great. Subsonic is best for covert players and Hollow Point is great for those who aren't as accurate with their shots (allowing their shots to limbs to do more damage). Finally, if you're good with your long range shots and playing on big maps, Lengthened is a great choice.

With the Rear Grip, I find Fabric Grip a great choice to increase the sprint to fire time so you're less vulnerable after sprinting.

The Proficiency options are all great and will play a big role in your playstyle. I tend to opt for Fleet over others, but its ultimately your choice!

Finally, your Kit, should be Quick to give you more Sprint Speed to get around the map faster.

Secondary

I would go with the Ratt pistol as your secondary as it's a good, fast firing secondary to have on hand if you need to finish the job.

Otherwise, if you want to run overkill on some of the bigger maps, I would pair it with a sniper or Assault Rifle.

Lethal & Tactical

  • Gammon Bomb
  • Stim

The Gammon bomb is great for quick and easy lethal throwing, exploding on impact, to finish of pesky opponents. If you're running and gunning, the Stim is great for quick heals.

Perks

  • Ghost
  • Radar
  • Lightweight

Ghost is going to keep you off enemy radars for better flanking tactics, while Radar will highlight enemies that fire on your mini-map. Lightweight is going to be fantastic for getting across the map and open spaces quickly, minimising the risk of taking damage.

Field Upgrade

  • Dead Silence

If you're using ghost, Dead Silence makes for a brilliant and complimentary Field Upgrade to this deadly flanking class.
